Wedding Photography in Southend, Essex

Free consultations are always available where we can meet up (or video call if you prefer) so we can find out more about you and your wedding day plans & wishes, you will also get a chance to view our sample wedding albums. Consultations give us a chance to get to know each other which helps our couples feel more comfortable on their wedding day. Engagement shoots are also available at a reduced rate for our wedding clients which are also a great help if you are feeling a little nervous. We specialise in helping our couples feel relaxed, especially if they are a little camera shy.

Our fees always include the full day from prep. through to the first dance. All collections include as standard – Myself and my second photographer, it’s great for couples to see each others preparations before the ceremony and all the extra reactions and emotions captured with two of us there with you. You will receive approx. 500-800 fully edited, high resolution digital images on one of our silver heart shaped USBs in a presentation box. An online gallery for friends and family to view and order prints from and a highlight show-reel of your day set to music. Album collections & Videography collections are also available.

Your date can be secured with as little as a £200 booking fee that is deducted from your balance which is due four weeks before your wedding date, payment plans are also available at no extra charge.

We booked Doodleshots to take our wedding photos in December for a small intimate wedding at Newland hall. Kim was great to go through all of the details before hand and let us know what to expect and asked all the right questions to make sure we were getting everything we wanted.Unfortunately both Kim and the second shooter caught covid a few days before our wedding but despite being ill she found 2 other photographers to step in last minute and take the photos from all of Kim’s notes. Then the morning of the wedding out of nowhere the snow came thick and fast and one of the covering photographers had to pull out but Kim saved the day again and found another photographer.We showed up at the venue in thick white snow something we had only dreamed of and we had two photographers ready and waiting and the day was a perfect white wedding.Kim still did all of the editing to get out some fantastic photos.In summary Doodleshots went above and beyond to make our day perfect when it could have changed very quickly. My wife and I would recommend them to everyone wanting a stress free day.

We organised a family session as a gift for my parents for Christmas '22. Kim was incredibly accommodating on exact timing leading up to the shoot and organised for a possible studio back up location in the event the weather didn't cooperate. Fortunately it did and we were able to get some great shots of all the family at the beach near Thorpe Bay yacht club as well as some in my parents home. Kim also did an amazing job to stitching together multiple images to get one where all the children were facing front and centre. I would not hesitate in the slightest in getting Kim to be the photographer for any other family occasion that we are wanting memories of in the future.

From the moment we met Kim (and Katy) at a wedding fair a couple of years ago, we knew Doodleshots was the perfect match for us, their style was just what we had imagined. Unfortunately our wedding got postponed a year due to covid, but Kim was amazing through out the whole thing. When it finally came to our special day, being two brides we knew it would be difficult capturing everything as we were getting ready at different venues, but they managed to capture both of our preps incredibly well. We felt so at ease through out the whole day, they were so natural, kind and supportive and helped us capture so many beautiful memories, including some very special memories with our dogs who came to the venue for some photos with us, including a very special memorial to our lovely Bailey who had just recently passed away. Kim made sure he was just as included and we will cherish that forever. Since the wedding Kim has been amazing at keeping us up to date with the progress on our photos, albums etc. and we’ve just got our wedding album and it is out of this world, we couldn’t be happier. I cannot thank Kim (and Katy) enough for all of the wonderful images they captured of our ceremony and being so accommodating in some challenging circumstances. I honestly was a bit clueless in what I wanted from the photos having arranged everything at very short notice but Kim gave great advice, helping guide us to some incredible shots on the day and shooting some wonderfully sweet and amusing candid images that we will treasure forever.We now have the hard task of choosing our favourites as we will absolutely be asking for some prints in the near future.
